Shinkyokushinkai is a full-contact martial arts sport and it is one of the most powerful karate styles in the world.
Shinkyokushinkai, which belongs in the World Karate Organisation (WKO), is the biggest world organisation in full-contact karate, with 93 country members worldwide. In the world of professional Martial Arts, Shinkyokushinkai athletes are noted for their exceptional strength, intelligence and high fighting spirit.
Nevertheless, Shinkyokushinkai isn’t about aggressiveness or solving conflicts through fighting. The philosophy behind this style of karate is all about the physical and intellectual effort to unify the spirit and the body of oneself and to connect with other people through acts of kindness, humility and politeness.
Shinkyokushinkai aims to educate young people, help them acquire good manners, behave courteously with everyone around them and build warm, meaningful, long-term relationships. One of the biggest goals of Shinkyokushinkai is to contribute to the society by helping people improve their physical and mental health not only locally but also globally. Various international exchanges are organised throughout the year in order to create opportunities for Shinkyokushinkai pupils to train and communicate with global talents, and to learn about different cultures.
“WKO – Shinkyokushinkai” works in a firm collaboration with the Japanese Olympic committee for the admission and approval of this style of karate as an Olympic sport.
